We are hiring a Senior WordPress Developer with advanced front-end and back-end experience who can lead web projects from strategy to execution. This role requires deep knowledge of modern WordPress development, page speed optimization, and technical SEO implementation.
About The Role
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, development, and deployment of custom WordPress websites and themes
Develop scalable, maintainable solutions using custom themes, advanced custom fields (ACF), CPTs, and reusable modules
Configure and optimize page builders like Elementor and Bricks for high performance without unnecessary bloat
Ensure sites meet technical SEO and accessibility standards (Core Web Vitals, schema markup, clean structure)
Manage hosting environments, DNS, SSL, staging environments, and version control (Git)
Perform technical audits and troubleshoot issues related to speed, responsiveness, security, and SEO
Integrate APIs, CRM systems, and third-party platforms into WordPress installations
Collaborate with designers, content strategists, project managers, and junior developers
Create documentation, handoff guides, and contribute to internal development SOPs
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional WordPress development experience
Strong experience building custom themes and using ACF, CPTs, and advanced hooks/filters
Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Experience with performance optimization: caching, CDN, lazy loading, minification, and responsive best practices
Deep understanding of SEO fundamentals including technical structure, schema, redirects, sitemap optimization, and crawlability
Experience working with Git and deployment pipelines
Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in an agency environment
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with headless WordPress, REST API, or GraphQL
Experience with WooCommerce customization
Familiarity with modern tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Google Tag Manager, GA4
Experience training or mentoring junior developers
Comfortable conducting technical client reviews or supporting proposal scoping
