We are looking for an Entry-Level Web Designer / Developer who wants hands-on experience building and improving real client websites, supporting WordPress projects, learning website strategy, and growing into a larger role over time.

About The Role

Position Overview

The Entry-Level Web Designer / Developer will assist with website design, WordPress updates, landing pages, content layout, basic front-end development, website maintenance, and quality assurance.

This role is ideal for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, dependable, willing to learn, and interested in both web design and front-end development.

You do not need to know everything already, but you must be organized, coachable, and able to follow written instructions.

This role will begin with a 30–60 day evaluation period. Candidates who demonstrate reliability, quality work, clear communication, and the ability to complete assigned website tasks accurately may be considered for expanded hours, increased pay, and a longer-term part-time or full-time position based on business needs.

Responsibilities

The Entry-Level Web Designer / Developer may assist with:

  • WordPress website building and editing
  • Website page creation and updates
  • Page layout design using Elementor or similar builders
  • Website content formatting for readability and navigation
  • Image uploads, text formatting, and section organization
  • Basic HTML, CSS, and responsive design updates
  • Desktop, tablet, and mobile website testing
  • Small client-requested website updates
  • Website speed, usability, and structure improvements
  • SEO-related updates, including headings, page titles, image alt text, and internal links
  • Website reviews for broken links, layout issues, missing content, and mobile issues
  • Landing pages, forms, and conversion-focused website sections
  • Project instruction follow-through and clear progress communication
  • Completed work tracking and task status reporting

Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:

  • WordPress
  • Elementor
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript basics
  • Canva, Figma, Photoshop, or similar design tools
  • Website layouts and mobile responsiveness

Schedule

Compensation & Career Path

This is a paid entry-level role starting at $15/hour.

The role begins with a 30–60 day evaluation period. Strong candidates may be considered for increased hours, higher pay, part-time work, or a future full-time opportunity.
